Fondée en 2001 par Brigitte Morel, danseuse-chorégraphe, et Yves Morotti, technicien et constructeur, la compagnie Motus Modules explore la danse en apesanteur. Leur rencontre avec le vol au sein des Elastonautes marque un tournant. Ensemble, ils fondent leur propre structure pour développer une recherche artistique entre ciel et terre.
Motus Modules invente des modules aériens uniques. Elle crée un langage chorégraphique où l’espace devient un partenaire de jeu. Les spectacles mêlent danse, vol et scénographies monumentales. La compagnie s’adapte à tous les lieux, urbains ou naturels, et à tous les publics.
Les artistes et techniciens de la compagnie, réunis au fil des années, forment une équipe créative. Ensemble, ils conçoivent des tableaux oniriques et des moments de poésie visuelle. Leur objectif : partager des instants suspendus avec les spectateurs dans l’espace public.
La compagnie collabore aussi avec le chorégraphe Hervé Diasnas. Ensemble, ils ont créé un système de vol permettant d’alterner apesanteur et ancrage au sol. Cette invention a donné naissance à cinq spectacles majeurs : « Vol éclair d’un libellule » en 2002, « Chroniques aériennes » en 2005, « Le rêve des ombres » en 2008 et « Diaphane » en 2010 et “Nuées” en 2013 .
On retrouve la compagnie Motus Modules à l’occasion du spectacle immersif Le Souffle de l’Ill, présenté à Mulhouse du 4 au 29 juin 2025.
